Y-40® Open Water Diver Padi is the complete basic course for becoming an independent diver. You’ll start in Y-40® in thermal water and then finish in the sea/lake.

Lessons: Theory through eLearning, 7 dives in Y-40®, 2 dives in the sea/lake
Thermal water: 32-34°C

Requisites
Pre-requisites: No previous experience is required and a certification is not required. Basic swimming skills are sufficient. Diving with a Y-40® instructor is mandatory.
Minimum age: 15 years old

Medical certificate: non-competitive medical certificate with ECG (electrocardiogram) or a medical certificate of fitness for diving is mandatory.

The private course has a prepaid, non-refundable rate. Once the lesson schedule has been set, it cannot be changed.

This reservation is non-refundable. To book, advance payment is required.
The prepaid non-refundable course is offered with a fixed schedule. In the event of an absence, the make-up lesson costs € 99. Upon presentation of a medical certificate of illness, you can make up only one lesson for free. For extended absences, the management is available to discuss the best option for continuation.
(Flexible prepaid rate) The flexible prepaid rate requires payment of deposit, as indicated in the document, and balance at the facility, without requiring prepayment of the full amount. A credit card is required to make the reservation, or bank transfer upon confirmation of the reservation request by phone or email, as indicated. The flexible rate allows for changes up to the specified date without penalty. Subsequent changes will result in the loss of the entire deposit paid. If a change is received within the time limit, it is possible to request a voucher, in the same amount as the deposit paid, valid 365 days from the date of its issuance or by the date indicated on the document. The flexible prepaid rate can only be used for booking stays but not activities, which are subject to limited conditions and availability. Only web booking, ensures the right to access the facility on the day and time indicated in the reservation. Reservations can be made at the venue subject to availability of times and organizational needs. The reservation is not nominal and validity is limited to the dates booked. Once checked in, the service is nominal and use cannot be transferred to a third party. No additional discounts or conventions apply to the flexible prepaid rate. If you have a special convention of discounted rates please indicate it in your reservation. Any convention will be applicable on the portion rate related to what is specified in the agreement.
(Cancellations) We remind you that in case of delays or cancellations, the amounts paid are not refundable. In compliance with what is specified in Art. 7 of Legislative Decree 185/99, there is no right of withdrawal for this presale, since it is, according to what is stated in paragraph b) of: provision of services related to leisure, for which the supplier undertakes to provide such services on a specific date or in a predetermined period. The Right of Withdrawal provided for in Articles 52 to 58 of the Consumer Code does not apply, right Art. 59 paragraph 1 letter n) of the same code; pursuant to Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament, the right of withdrawal within 14 days does not apply to hotel reservations. Therefore, there is no refund of the price of the service paid/spent/booked/used, in case of cancellation by the buyer. The service cannot be exchanged for money, refunded, or used to purchase other products, educational materials and merchandise. In case of no show (no-show on the date of arrival or at the time of the start of activities) will occur the loss of the entire amount paid and the cancellation of the reservation.

Padi Open Water Diver is the complete basic course to become an autonomous diver.
By studying independently through the digital eBook, you’ll learn how to plan a safe dive and simple principles of physics, physiology, and the marine environment.
At Y-40®, you’ll learn how to use the equipment and, thanks to the various platforms, you’ll dive at real depths in a safe environment. By learning to manage your breathing, you’ll be able to control your buoyancy in the water, preparing you for sea dives.
To complete the course, you will need todo also two dives at the sea or lake.
You will learn to:
Know the diving equipment and its proper use.
Feel confortable underwater, learning how to kick effectively.
Manage your breath keeping hydrodynamic buoyancy.
Equalize the water pressure on your ears and mask.
Plan real dives.
Become an autonomous diver.
Outdoor dives sea/lake:
To conclude the Open Water Diver course, you can choose whether to do the last two dives in the sea or in a lake. This price is not included in the course and it may vary based on location, season and number of participants. The approximate cost ranges from:
Lake €25 – €60
Sea €140 – €350
The price for the outdoor dives includes:
- Lake access / 2 dives in the sea
- Tanks, BCD and regulator provided by Y-40®. You can pick them up a few days before the dive.
- Dives, transportation, accommodations and any meals for the instructor(s) that will come with you.
The price for the outdoor dives does not include:
- Wetsuit, mask, fins, dive computer, and weight belt rental. Y-40® does not rent this equipment.
- Transportation, accommodation and any meals for the students.
Once you’ve completed the course requirements, you’ll receive the PADI Open Water Diver e-card, which qualifies you for dives up to -18 meters with a dive buddy. This digital certification, available in the PADI app, is recognized worldwide.
