The ticket includes entry into thermal water at Y-40® for divers with a technical license, to partecipate to a technical dive with bibo or rebreather.
Simon Mitchell is a New Zealand physician specializing in hyperbaric medicine and anesthesiology. Mitchell received a Ph.D. for his work on neuroprotection from embolic brain injury, and has published numerous research and review articles in the diving medical literature. Mitchell is an author and avid technical diver. He wrote two chapters of the latest edition of Bennett and Elliott's Physiology and Medicine of Diving, and co-authored the dive textbook Deeper Into Diving with John Lippmann and co-authored the chapter on Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine in Harrison's Principles of Internal. Mitchell began diving in 1972 and his diving primarily involves the use of rebreathers to explore wrecks at extreme depths.
One dive session is available per each person and the entrances start at 5:30pm for 4 divers at a time. The proposed profile for technical diving is limited to 42m with a maximum bottom time: 15 min. For organizational reasons we do not propose long deep stop dive, with the intention of allowing the largest number of divers to be able to dive by personally meeting prof. Simon Mitchell by the pool, in the water or in the hall of Y-40®. Furthermore, diving is a part of the event which includes the conference at 8:00pm and dinner at the Miravalle Restaurant, near to Y-40®, at 9:00pm with prof. Simon Mitchell.
During the session in the thermal water of Y-40® you can experience a tec dive in a confined environment which allows you to pay particular attention to your diving technique; you can invite your friends who will be able to see you from the windows and underwater tunnel, you will have the opportunity to personally meet prof. Simon Mitchell.
The dive must be carried out within a few parameters:
Each diver must bring bibo and one or two stage decos or rebreathers with stage tank and the complete equipment for this type of dive, respecting the indications of your didactics.
Base mix: TX 20/20 (if enabled) or air
Mix Deco; Ean 50
Mix Deco; 100% oxygen (if enabled)
Bottom Time max 15 min
Gradient Factors 50/80 (those recommended by Simon Mitchell)
Run time:
At minute 00 start of the dive reaching -42m for 15 minutes;
At minute 18 (without stops in the cylinder, but only ascending), you position yourself on the platform at 12 m, allowing the next group to carry out the deep dive without a hitch
At 20 minutes you will have to reach the 10m platform and caves, where you will complete the Deco at 28 minutes
There will be 2 support divers, ready to enter the water with Deco 50 tanks and Oxygen to supply in case of emergency.

Before arriving at Y-40, check in online:
Click on ‘Sign in’ to access your personal account.
Click on ‘Orders and Online Check-in’ to obtain your ticket and share the other tickets with your diving companions.
To access the changing room, each person must generate their own QR code on ‘Tickets’.

Y-40® personal account: all participants are required to create an account on Y-40.com by entering personal data, ID photo and signing the regulations.
Those who are already patented must also enter their patent data and photos.
Instructors must complete the completion by entering insurance information as well.
If there are minors under 14 years of age or dependent persons, download the minors and dependent persons form and have their parents complete and sign it.If there are minors between the ages of 14 and 17 or dependent people unaccompanied by their parents, download the minors and dependent people form, and have it filled in and signed by the companion who is responsible for it.

We recommend arriving:
60 minutes before: check-in
30 minutes before: access to the changing room.
15 minutes before: safety briefing at the pool level.
Check-in will be done directly at the reception at your arrival.
To check-in you will need to present the QR-Code that you will find in your account in the “Fast Check-in” section.
The QR-Code is personal and does not change, so you can save the screenshot of the code for future visits.

Each participant acknowledges that what is indicated regarding their health conditions represents an exchange of information between the parties and therefore declares to be in good physical and mental conditions; it can swim independently and is comfortable in deep water.

The medical certificate is not required for freedivers or certified divers or for students with their own instructor.
To participate in Y-40® First experiences, Y-40® Safety/Guide and Y-40® Supervisor, you are required to complete the Medical Questionnaire >
To participate in sessions with Y-40® Trainer, Y-40® Workshop and Y-40® Courses, a non-competitive sports medical certificate with ECG (electrocardiogram) or competitive medical certificate for any sport is required.
To participate in the Y-40® Workshop with Umberto Pelizzari, a competitive medical certificate for any sport.

During the dive the diver/freediver exposes himself to risks related to compression and decompression of the body. With the change in pressure there may be difficulty compensating the pressure in the ears, sinuses, teeth, lungs and mask. These problems usually resolve themselves within a few days. Permanent problems rarely occur. We encourage you to report any inconvenience immediately.

Loss of movement control (samba/CML), black out, taravana, fainting when exiting a dive, decompression illness and any other type of event that causes temporary or permanent damage to health, for safety reasons, involves, at the unquestionable judgment of the lifeguards or Y-40® instructors, the immediate exit from the water and the end of the diving shift. Furthermore, the athlete and possibly the instructor will be sanctioned with exclusion from Y-40® activities. They will be able to return to diving following specific medical certification.
If symptoms appear during or after the dive, Y-40® Management and the 118 call center must be immediately notified.

Always check the no-fly period at the end of the dive, in case you have to take a plane or go by car to mountain passes. If you have dived, please remember that it is strongly advised against traveling by plane or in any case going to high altitudes for the next 12 hours.

Y-40® has platforms at different depths, which you can use freely while respecting teaching, the patent, the participants and the exclusively occupied areas.
The 3 cables in the deep cylinder provide a regular rotation without exceeding the occupation before and after the dive. The use of the lanyard is mandatory.

You can watch the dives for free from the windows of the bar-bistro and from the underwater tunnel at -5 meters depth.
There are no entrance fees for swimming.
Daily entrances to the SPA DAY spa are available at our hotel.
